* The best place we've found to swim (besides a friends' pool) is on post.
you can read the on post hours here
$30 for 20 visit punchpass- each punch gets everyone in your family- nice!

Lake Pines is fun for a special treat. Off the Murch. A little pricey but nice. A few years back we went to Waldo's beach once and had fun. I've never been to Fantasy Water Park

The only other pool option I know of is Seabrook only $1 per child (12 and under) and $2 per adult
the pool is nice especially for little kids. The only downside is it gets crowded when school is out.

A free option for a hot day is the splash pad. mostly for preschool/ toddler age but there is also a playground and covered picnic bench beside the sprinkler park.

Camps  http://www.fayettevillesummercamps.com/

Several camps through FCPR- we're thinking about baseball camp 3-7 Aug 9-12

Blueberry picking starts 4th of July- might go there some Friday morning

The great outdoors

One of the things we miss most about Maryland is visiting tons of state parks. Maryland has a super program called Park Quest which we participated in all 3 years and loved. We went to 10 different parks the first year, 17 the second, and 24 the third. Super! I really wish NC had a program like that.

I told the kids we could make a program like that. I haven't done it yet but i have started checking on the websites for some good places to go. Here are the top few on our list:

Carvers Creek State Park  newest state park. right here in Spring Lake.
